Roy,
I am not an expert at this by any means. From what I have read on the list is that
you close everrything. Then start to open only the ones that you needs. So if you
are running a web server you then open port 80. Also if you are using the same machine
for Email you would open port 25 I believe. That would be the best way to
do it, but I will some of the better experts give their input.
That would be a start.. Are you using something like IPChains for the firewall??|
Or are you using a hardware option?
