I originally posted this over the weekend, with not responses, but it's
important enought to me to give it another shot.
I'm a firewall neophite, and I'm trying to learn about configuring ACL's on
a Cisco PIX.
I am trying to configure the following:
1. ACL's for ICMP any and TCP 25 inbound and outbound to my DMZ from the
Internet.
2. ACL's for ICMP any and TCP 25 inbound and outbound from my DMZ to my
private network.
3. ACL's for Netbios from my private network to my DMZ.
In general I'm attempting to put some security measures in place in an
environment where although there is a firewall
setup, it was put in place for functionality's sake and not security's sake.
Any recommendations on additional security measures and additions to the
ACL's would be appreciated as well.
Thanks,
