iptables

Hi, I am running linux kernel 2.4.1 and iptables 1.2.1 When i try to postroute everything works perfect but in prerouting when i try to dnat nothing works out correctly... Also on a different machine i tried doing the same things worked out but after some time nothing worked again... i mean at that instant dnat works successfully but after a few hours nothing works correctly.. As far the kernel is concerned i have compiled it with the bare min it needs in all things except NETWORKING OPTIONS which i have done almost everything except multicasting router and rarp and bootp support becoz i dont need it... It would be great if you could help me out on this one... Rgds Rohit
