i always assume, when possible, that there is no firewall...
and is the data still safe/protected....
- if i can rebuild a new fw...and restore things in an hour
or two....am happy...
- if they are wanting no loss of (real time) data, like
credit card transactions...than we have more real time
and transaction issues than just firewall issues
- and they better have the budget/resources to be asking
for the "sky"
i think that people running telnet/ftp/pop3/ppp/r* behind a firewall...
thiking they are safe.... are gonna run into a big cement wall one
day, if and when a hacker/cracker does want to view their internal lan
