Given where you are, you have the choice between 3 alternatives:
- Cisco Pix
- MATRAnet MWall (derived from the Gauntlet)
- an Open source solution, such as IPFilter on (Open/Net)BSD.
Checkpoint is a "hard" choice, since there has been rumours claiming they
work for the mossad. While there is no proof for that (I guess you didn't
think they
are so dumb to prove anything suspicious), Checkpoint couldn't come with
a clear statement (for example, by proving that they've never got money from
Israely universities unless "clearly" justified; or if not possible giving
the source
code, the way TIS did! but heh, people like mjr, fred avolio and friend are
an exception,
aren't they?).
