1. Nessus is good
2. Nmap is good
3. Whisker is good - test cgi
4. Strobe is good
5. Webtrends has nice outputs but Nessus can do it also
6. Saint is good but someone has to add more to it
7. Netcat, I've heard it, they said it's nice
echo "GET / HTTP/1.0\n" | nc <host> 80 | egrep Server
something like that
8. Yeah, hping, sing, nemesis, firewalk and other tcpip stack stress tester
