A large number of these off-topic type topics have their own lists at
securityfocus.com, sign up for enough of them and you can even get your mail
admin really really mad at you.

just go to http://www.google.com and
type "ids+mailing+list" and click on the search button.

that'll give you many results, but often, you can just try the first!
