The LDAP proxy is not needed to get LDAP authentication via the firewall to
work.
All that should need to be done is as follows:
Create a user (under Users) with a username of "default" and an
authentication type of LDAP.
Then, in the Environment-Authentication screen, when you first open the
screen you'll see that the radio buttion for Gauntlet is selected. Change
that to LDAP. That allows you to fill in the ldap server information.
Specifying a default user of type LDAP means that all authentication
requests will now be for LDAP, unless a user is defined in the firewall
authentication database with a different type of authentication.
