I had the opportunity to beta-test StoneGate from StoneSoft. Designed
from scratch to be a clustered firewall based on an extremely hardened
Linux-kernel.

One of the features was the ability to load-balance multiple
ISP-connections without BSD. Essentially they are using dynamic DNS.

Had some bugs (mostly VPN) four months ago, but the interface (Java),
and feature set were impressive. I got the feeling they actually listed
to firewall admins about what they would like to see in the product.

As one who has installed multiple load-balancing type solutions (both
hardware and software), this was be far the best install I have seen.

Subject: Fat Pipe products??

This may not be the best topic for the group but you all are the most
savvy bunch I have access to!

I am looking for a product that will allow me to create redundancy with
multiple upstream connections while not having to use BGP to make it all
work. From what their literature says, Fat Pipe claims to be able to
provide this type of a solution. However, I don't know anyone that is
actually using the product.

Anyone?
