As some of you may have noticed, the firewalls list has been migrated to new hardware and software. We are now running on top of mailman and postfix. This change should help us better support the mailing list in future. In the migration process, we have unsubscribed a suprising number of bouncing addresses, and some badly behaved ones. For future reference, if your address: - Sends receipts for every message - Sends vacation mail responses - Explodes to a list of users, and sends bounces for those users to us you will be unsubscribed. If there are several addresses at a given domain, and that domain sends bounce messages that do not include the original destination address (and I mean _anywhere_ - we looked, hard), all addresses at that domain will be unsubscribed. (I really wish I knew which mail software was responsible for this travesty, but it left no identifiable marks). There are also an amazing number of people who are over their mail quotas. We're leaving them subscribed for now. If it gets to be a problem, they'll be unsubscribed, too. -- Carson Gaspar - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Security Architect - Global Networking and Computing, Inc. _______________________________________________ Firewalls mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnac.net/mailman/listinfo/firewalls
