Hi: I have a LAN with a internet connection via a PIX 515 Firewall that have configurated to allow any connection to my SMTP and POP3 server that is in my "inside" network, also i have a Microsoft Proxy Server installed in the same SMTP/POP3 server of the "inside", with this proxy server i manage who can access or not to internet and what protocol can use (ie: http, winsock)(the PIX have two interfaces), my question is: 1) My configuration is correct? or the correct is move (or delete) the Proxy to the "outside" and configure the firewall to allow the inside connections to access to internet?. 2) If i have a PIX 515, its important to use the Proxy server?
