- both are good. you can use either of them, or
use them both!
- many of us here prefer ipfilter.
- there were a license story about ipf (if interested,
check the archives of this mailing list and those of ipf
mailing list. it already generated too much threads)
- ipfw is FreeBSD specific. most people here recommend
OpenBSD (my personnal pref goes for NetBSD).
