My suggestion is just set up a matrix with the products you got
recommended, and the features you want to see. Then make them to test
the products under a controlled scenario where you can ask the
demonstration for the features. If you see the product running "live"
it could be a bit easier to you to decide which one fits your environment
best.
Put in your desired features things that could be arising with
"remote file access" like bandwidth management, user management,
third party integration, remote user management and personal
firewall/vpn integration (Always important having telecommuters).
