Rick,

This is a pretty good setup....
You must configure the firewall to only allow 
http connections to the internet from the proxy.
And you must configure each client / browser 
to use the proxy to be able to view websites.

I don't see that you need to configure auth. on
the firewall to let the proxy through...

You can always let users authenticate themselves
on the proxy to be sure that only the right users
are able to connect to the internet if you don't want
other users to view webpages.
