secureCRT also supports version 2, and I recall a number of other windows
clients supporting version 2 on the windows platform, I did a pretty
through search on this for nortel a year and a half ago, trying to get
them to move to version 2 back then, just after version 1 was finally
accepted for rollout. secureCRT is much easier to setup and rollout in
bulk then teraterm too.

I have sites that I need to remian in contact with who can't be convinced
of the rational to move to version 2 even now, but, due to the constant
scanning for ssh1 sshd's out there, and the crap in our logs, we now only
allow ssh connections to specific systems from/to ours. folks always seem
to reluctant to move to newer and better, or to even patch, thus is the
history of issues cropping up over and over again to be exploited in a
newer/nastier fashion.

OK, so you're a Ph.D. Just don't touch anything.
