I think the reason many like the netscreen's is the quality of the
products as of late, and more importantly speed. Many of the
vulnerabilities that have plagued other firewall manufacturers..
The best thing, is they try to go towards what the market desires,
without sacrificing security. Such as all of the Netscreen products do
come with IPSEC VPN's and recently they have designed their security
zones, so you can define each port in different modes.
Now the future, rumblings do have it that they are going towards IDS
integration, maybe a built in tap, maybe something else.. I have asked
for tap ports though. And possibly support for fiber ethernet, though
I haven't asked, but enough requests and they probably would. And
better yet, trunking, to allow for greater bandwidth on upstream or
downstream..
