I've done it on two subnets separated by a very similar setup (eth1 = 192.168.0.0, eth2 = 192.168.1.0). On machines that I want to print from I set up an LMHOSTS file... very easy.
--- C:\WINDOWS\LMHOSTS <IP address> <computer name / printer name> --- It's pretty well documented in LMHOSTS.SAM. This is all assuming you're running a Windows environment. If you are, and you're running in a domain, why not do this from a logon script? Copy the LMHOSTS file to the machines when they login. If your network is large, go with a WINS server. LMHOSTS will get out of hand on a larger network.
