You will need the official Cisco blue or black flat cable (72-1259-01 or
72-1262-01), or one pinned just like it. Plug it into the RJ console
port on the front, use hyper term or terra term 9600 8,1,N and you are
ready to rock. I hope you have the enable password for it right now.

Subject: Cisco Pix 520

Hello,
I'm trying to teach myself some of the basics in computer security and
I've purchase some equipment from ebay. Long story short. Before I fire
up the Cisco Pix, I'm trying to change the password on the Cisco Router
3600 I've purchased. Everything I've read indicates that I can telnet in
but on this router telnet has been turned off. How can I physically
access the con port on the front of the router using an RJ-45 cable?
Thanks for helping out a newbie.
Chris
