Hello,

I'm currently looking for pointers to POP3 application proxy
software.

What I'm looking for (a few of the objectives are conflicting) :

Ideally
- it should run on Unix (preferably Solaris)
- it should be able to forward connections to multiple
targets, as directed by the user
- it shoud offer some degree of control over the servers
accessed and the users accessing them.
- it should be small, efficient, and minimal
- it should be secure and come from a well reputed source
- it should be open source

I'm aware of the pop3 proxies listed at freshmeat.net, as well as
the one listed in the "unsupported user contributions" area on
fwtk.org.

I'd be grateful on any input, both on the ones I mentioned as well
as pointers to others.

The objective is giving users outgoing POP3 access pursuant to
company policy and satisfying a wide range of requirements within
multiple large organizations (i.E. don't ask :-).

Regards, and TIA for any hint,

Christoph Weber-Fahr
