Because I wanted to be able to use a 256-color mutt theme I added this
to my ~/.config/fish/config:
set -x TERM xterm-256color
Was that the right thing to do? It introduced some buggy rendering in
fish. When typing a command into the terminal, lines get wrapped too
early, and then the cursor ends up in the wrong place, commands overlap
with previously typed commands and you can see what you're doing, etc.

I removed the 256-color line and it works fine again.
