What is the "official way" to do an initial logon after a disaster either at the initiator or acceptor, that is, where either side has lost its session (sequence number) state? I understand that some implementations use the "24 hour connectivity" procedure - setting ResetSeqNumFlag 141=Y at the initial Logon - for this, but from the discussions in http://www.fixprotocol.org/discuss/read/e455b36b and other threads I also understand that this is not sanctioned by FPL. Thanks in advance!
