Hi, I have a query regarding Allocation message (MsgType = J) in FIX Protocol 4.2. It is specified in the FIX 4.2 errata that the allocation message can be sent by an entity to carry out Post-Trade divisions of Account Type and Executed Quantity (Traded Quantity). According to my understanding, say for example, a fill with (Traded Quantity = 100 and Account = 'A') is received. Now, broker wants to divide the above fill in the following fashion: Traded Quantity Account --------------- ------- 100 A (Original) 30 B 30 C 40 D For the aforementioned activity, is Allocation (MsgType = J) the right message? If yes, can it be used at the exchange level? Meaning, can an entity send an allocation message directly to an exchange or to sell side? Thanks in advance, Vinay M [You can unsubscribe from this discussion group by sending a message to mailto:unsubscribe+100932...@fixprotocol.org] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Financial Information eXchange" group.
