Hi Webmasters,
In discussion forums search results displayed, it could be useful to have the
following information at the top of the page, some examples:-
Your search for the exact phrase "heartbeat" in all discussion forums matched
10,000 posts in 800 threads in 9 discussion forums
Your search for all the terms "heartbeat", "108", "logon" in all discussion
forums matched 1700 posts in 439 threads in 5 discussion forums
Your search for the exact phrase "testrequest" in General Q/A discussion forum
match 180 post in 38 threads
In general, this informative text could be seen as
Your search for {radio-button search option} {"actual phrase or terms"} in {all
or specific} discussion forum(s) matched {X} posts in {Y} threads {(optional)
in Z discussion forums}
This would permit users of discussion forums search functionality to know what
they searched for and size of resultset (how much they have to parse).
Regards,
K. Mahesh
