Not sure I understand the background of your question. The FIX concept does not foresee a single error message on the application level (other than Business Message Reject for very specific purposes). In general the response message is the same for success and failure with dedicated fields carrying error IDs (e.g. OrdStatus) as well as textual descriptions (e.g. OrdRejReason).
