For those of us who are relics on this list it doesn't seem all that long
indeed...except when the same ole same ole questions come up....then we get
real quiet and let the newcomers catch up.
Brian and I have FINALLY been able to drive again and I for one have my
brand spanking new Dartmoor on the road...It was sooooo hard to have it
sitting in the carriage house since February and have too much ice and snow
to bring it out. Now for the mud but I can wash that off and I'm sure it
won't be the first time that it will need a hosing. I'm thrilled to drive on
4 wheel and have brakes for the first time ever...Delayed steering is
something to get used to but the arthritic granny suspension is wonderful. I
told my son yesterday that I was finally able to drive his inheritence and
he just said 'that's how it should be ...you go mom'.
On another note...the spring PNFPG newsletter has been at the printers for 2
1/2 weeks now and here's hoping it will be out shortly. There are two very
important deadline reminders that people here in the PNW need to be aware
of....May 1st is the deadline for the PNFPG Spring Fling ..this is a super
clinic at Moses Lake with top notch clinicians combined with the Spring
Meeting to plan the 20th anniversary of the PNFPG which will be celebrated
at the Libby Show this fall.Plan to attend
The other May 1st deadline is for the two beginner CDE clinics in Mead WA
and St. Ignacius MN. They will be Mirror Image beginner CDE clinics where
you can learn all about the sport of Combined Driving. If you are interested
and have not heard about them, feel free to contact me and I will give you
specifics.
Happy spring and Happy Easter to the List....enjoy the horses, they are the
common denometer of this group.
