Genie, it is a Laser 200D I don't even notice the block in front (knee?)
What I really notice is the contact and a comfortable deep seat that I
can still post out of. Horses backs show even pressure throughout the
back. This saddle came w/ one of those very nice plush, all sheepskin
pads and it is total overkill on the fjords. I might use it on my big guy
when he slicks out. The best pad for this saddle is a minimal cotton
'diaper' or waffle weave one to keep the sweat off of the underside of
the panels.

Apparently this saddle is about 10 years old as it has the older style
adjustment. But whoever owned it before me took very good care of it.
Hardly a scuff, and panels are in super good shape.

(...Switching English to western..we just got back from a day + a half at
the Winnemucca ranch rodeo. Real working cowboys compete in 4 man teams
in about 7 events.Even had a all woman team from Lovelock who were
totally competitive + should place in the top 5! Very fun to watch, as
there is alot of horse + cow handling skill involved. Great Trade Show
too. Got a mohair mecate and a pair of silver conchas for a new bridle I
am setting up. YeeHaw Yall!)

  Hi Karen,
Great news - it is wonderful when a saddle actually helps rather than
hinders your riding. Please post which model you bought as they are
  quite different from each other.
