Hello EVERYONE! Here is the procedure for the election. (This is from my experience on this BOD and other BODs) 1. People run for the 3 positions. 2. Members vote 3. The elections committee counts and verifies the election. (at the correct time) 4. The top 3 total vote getters are contacted and told that they have received the position on the BOD. If at that time they (one of the top 3 persons) do not accept the position, then the Elections Committee names the next vote getter (the 4th person) in that position. The BOD does not get the results of the election until Elections Committee verifies and all three candidates are told and accept the position. The BOD then certifies the election and the 3 new BOD members are installed at the F2F meeting in January. There is no need to hold a special election or to stop the one in the process. Who is to say the person that announced that they will not take the position will win the top 3 votes?
