I have often threatened to mark "my" tools with something "feminine"
like hot pink nail polish.  Hubby seems to think that, if it's a tool,
it must be his.  When he borrows one of mine (kept in my barn, so I
don't have to trek to the shop for everything) "just for a minute",
somehow it always ends up with the rest of his tools in the shop.
Then, we both get crabby---me because I have to go searching for my
missing tool, and him because he claims that I "borrowed back" the
wrong one.  Sorry, all pairs of pliers look the same to me....
