Dear Marsha,
Driving Essentials, apart from having what it sounds like they would
have, has riding bits of all types in lots of larger sizes. So does Smuckers.
Both of these places are in PA but are very good at wrapping things. I'm
starting to acquire a wardrobe of bits for my Fjord too and he's a definite 5
1/2"
guy. Type either of the above shop's name into your search engine, add .com
and I'm pretty sure they'll pop right up.
Have fun! I'm a stock seat person too and I know what you mean. Most
tack stores seem to assume that all horses have 5" mouths...the same thinking
that assumes all women wear B width shoes. Go figure.
