Here we go again, I know I sound like a broken record but I also know you guys on the list are SO supportive! O.H. Silas took TWO Firsts, A Second and a 5th(TOTALLY RIDER ERROR on this one). The 1st's were in 2'6" and 2'9", the 5th was in 2'9 equitation and I got SO infront of him! UGH, didn't remind myself to WAIT, poor boy. For some reason I wreck my equitation classes ALL the time! The 2nd was in Open Jumping 3ft, it's a jump off, with clear riders going on again either by time or a jump off, the judge asked us who had a clear round and we said a jump off , they raised them to 3'3" and we just flew over them, OH IT WAS A BLAST. I did have to get the stick out with the first time around he didn't think he really wanted to do more but as soon as the stick was on him he was PERFECT after that and when we had to come back in he was a flying. What a boy! We were beat out by a Russian horse with a huge stride, the judge asked if we wanted them raised higher and the Russian horse owner said no, lets go by time, by now it was just me and the other horse. Doing it the last time was fine by me, I don't need to run Si into the ground and I'd much perfer ending on a good note. I felt like we won that class anyway, right along with that Russian horse. Got a TON of compliments at the show, EVERYONE wanted to pet Silas and tell us how cool we look. Really, if you can get out in the show ring with your fjord, DO IT. It SO helps the breed. Arianna, the raffle horse is at our French Creek Parade, in Francis Creek, hopefully she too is being a WONDERFUL ambassador of the breed. She is as cute as a bug and doing wonderful. She too, has done SO much for the breed. We have educated so many people about this breed, and the kids who have been given the opportunity to work with a Fjord are extremely grateful and are loving this breed! I can not begin to explain to you how much Arianna has impacted lives all over WI and probably further into other states. I know some may not approve of a raffle but I hope you can look at the big picture and understand all the greatness she is doing. AND believe me, I will be checking up on her, or should I say the owner will email on the digest and give us all updates, as we already know Carol, Janne, Karen are the winners, who did I forget?
