Definitely not drafty. She is started under the western saddle by a Ray Hunt style trainer. She goes quietly in all gaits, takes both leads and is very forward going. She is willing and obedient to ride, but still very green. She has also been ridden in an English saddle. Our trainer gives her glowing reports on her intelligence and ability to learn. His highest compliment is "She has sense." He has thrown a rope off her and drags poles behind her. She walks on plywood, trots cavaletti and jumps 2 ft easily. She handles trail obstacles willingly.
She has been started ground driving. She stands well for the farrier, clips easily and trailer loads without problem. Lilje is a stunning WHITE DUN mare, by the imported stallion Gingard. She would make a wonderful performance horse with a great trot and forward moving canter. She has a calm and collected nature and handles new things easily. She is brave in new situations.
