That sounds like fun! Another beautiful place to go riding is by Mark
& Lisa McGinley's Mariposa Farm in Ashland,WI in Chequamegon National
Forest. They have beautiful wide sand trails that wind between Red
Pine and maple forests. Lots of nice hills and views along the trail.
I just had a chance to do this with them last weekend and got a chance
to meet their new does-everything gelding "Rhett", who is a beautiful
white dun from Anvil's Acres.
Thanks for the mention Mary!
We do have some nice trails here and have been thinking about doing an
"all Fjord trail ride in the fall. We usually have room here for
overnight stall boarding and camping and would love to make a big party
out of a weekend. If any one is interested let me know and maybe we can
put something together. If you look on a Wisconsin map, we are located
at the top by a small town called Washburn (which is close to Ashland)
right by Chequamegon Bay on Lake Superior. It's pretty much perfect in
the fall ... no bugs, no tourists and some of the best fall colors
you'll find anywhere.
