Hi all,
The point I was trying to make is that you if you WANT TO SHOW your horse you
can do so just for fun and without great expense while getting the reward of
showing off the Fjord breed. If you DO NOT WANT TO SHOW your horse, what's the
problem? I certainly wasn't telling people they have a obligation to show. 99%
of the time, I am not showing Tank. I am riding him or driving him around my
home. When I said I showed in 5 (actually 7) states, it might help to know that
I have lived in border cities. Omaha, right on the Iowa-Nebraska border, and
Las Cruces, right on the Texas-New Mexico border. I rarely go more than 50
miles to a show. And I never showed more than 4 or 5 times a year, if that. I
can't afford it. It's why we haven't done the two CDE's in Arizona the last two
years (though I have not given up hope). I really do miss the annual 6 hour
trip to Blue Earth every July, however, which is the furthest I have travelled
with him. The MWFHC show in Blue Earth is one of the !
 very few
things I miss when I left Nebraska.

Next topic????
