I just had to share more about the gorgeous gelding we just got in - One of our interns rode him yesterday for the first time, and I want to tell you what she had to say. But, before I do, I'll tell you a little about Leah. She's from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She's 25 years old, and just finished her Master's Degree in history. She started riding when she was a child, and had the great good fortune to learn at the Halifax Bengal Lancer's which is a very famous riding school in Canada. It's run in a British, military fashion. It's tough and correct. For instance, Leah tells how the instructor would make students dismount and do pushups if they weren't riding correctly. Leah has been an instructor, and assistant instructor at various prestigious riding centers in the Maritimes. She's also a certified Canadian Equestrian Federation English Rider 1 and 2, and Pony Club level C2. She was a member of the Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers musical ride team from 1994 - 2000. In 2002, Leah was Instructor and groom at the Kill International Equestrian Centre, Kill, Ireland. --- In 2001 and 2002, Leah was a groom for County Limerick Hunt, Clonshire Equestrian Centre, Adare, Ireland, and along with her other responsibilities, she hunted regularly with this hunt. Leah has had instruction from the best. She's a riding instructor in her own right. --- So, what did Leah have to say after riding this gorgeous gelding with all the dressage training? She said . . . "He is by far the best horse, best trained horse I've ever ridden in my entire life." -- "He has buttons I don't even know how to push" Today, two other trainers on our staff rode the gorgeous gelding, and their reaction was more of the same. Representing a horse of this quality, (and kindness), I might add, is a real priviledge.
