Hi List:
I was contacted by a woman who had found two fjord geldings and had them
for two weeks. She had contacted all the right agencies to find the owner
but to no avail. Our vet clinic loaned her a gun to read the microchips and
after networking the owner was found before the end of that day. The sad thing
is the owner hasn't counted her fjords in the field for two weeks to see that
they were missing. The local brand inspector was about ready to sell these two
at the auction against the wishes of the finder who wanted to locate the
owner. This is a good reminder to all of us to keep track every day of your
horses
whether at pasture or not. This story has a happy ending thank goodness.
Thanks to Joyce Robertson from Deer Park for being concerned enough to go the
extra mile. To those who thought these were my horses thanks for writing.
Mine
are all accounted for safely at home. Thanks, Kathy
