Be careful about fantasizing that they will go to a much better home
than you are providing.  That may not be true.  Very few horses get
worked on a really regular schedule.   

That said, I definitely understand " horseowner's non-use guilt," AND
the financial burdens (and guilt) of paying to board horses that are not
being used, AND being overwhelmed by having too many horses for which
you are responsible.....any or all of which could be happening to you.

Whatever you decide will be right for you.
