Hello from Carol Rivoire at Beaver Dam Farm in Nova Scotia -
I noticed this short posting on today's List, and I wondered why Nancy
considers the stallion, Marnix, a "high quality Fjord stud". I'm not
disputing that he is high quality, just wondering why . . . .

#1 - Is it because he's produced a significant number of foals and those
foals have proven themselves as sound, good tempered, good performing
Fjords?
#2 - Is it because he's beautiful?
#3 - Is it because he comes from a proven sire and proven dam?
#4 - Is it because he himself is a proven performer?
#5 - Is it because he's well publicized and promoted?
#6 - Is it because he's owned by someone prominent?
#7 - Is it because he's known to produce certain traits? -- Size?
Movement? Beautiful Head?
Long back, Short back? Trainability? Good Neck? Fertility?
Straight Legs?
These are questions that should be asked by any mare owner looking for a
sire -
Kind Regards, Carol Rivoire
