This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dear Fjord Friends; Greetings from the "Hills of Rollag" in northwestern Minnesota. As most of you know my husband and I recently moved to this area which is known for it's flat lands - The Red River Valley!! As one travels east from the Fargo/Moorhead area the terrain begins to change. Miles and miles of wonderous hills come to view and in those hills sits the tiny little town of Rollag. Population under 200. Two churches, an implement dealer, a rundown convience store that is open only in the late summer during the Steam Threasher's Reunion and Show, a few houses and a quaint little gift shop open on "Saturday afternoons" make up this quiet little place. We live 2 miles from Rollag on 123 acres. We braced ourselves for WINTER up here.....howling winds and blowing snow.....but, so far we have been surprised. Temps have been in the upper 20's and 30's and best of all, NO WIND!!! Yes, things will change, forsure, but, we are enjoying the outdoors while we can. Last night I was feeling a bit melencholy....our children are in Florida with their grandparents for Christmas (going on a cruise). After dinner I said to my husband, "I am going out to the barn to sit on Sven!" He smiled. He knows. I needed a little "horse time" to feel better:) So, while Sven ate his Christmas treat.....and munched on his hay.....I sat and reflected on the past year. We are off to my sister's for Christmas Day Dinner.....the sky is bright with a shining sun.....the snow sparkles.......it will be a good day! Merry Christmas to all of you.......thanks for your friendship........Happy New Year! Linda Lottie
