We use pepermints for the occasional treat, it is also good for the minor stomach ailments. But the key word is OCCASIONAL : ))) If we give out to much treats our horses have gotten grabbie and rather rude !! It is REALLY HARD to pass up that darling Fjord face untill you rember getting bashed by a greedie grabbie Fjord head, at that point they and I loose the cute.
