My experience moving cows required a very agile horse to chase "escapees"
who took off in rough terrain (up road banks, thru desert strewn with sage
brush and large volcanic rocks (protection for cannon bones, fetlocks and
coronary bands seemed necessary)....not the kind of "cutting horse" skills
one usually thinks of in a branding corral. Gayle...do you know a bit more
about the task at hand? (WE brought up the rear ....keeping an old lame
bull moving.....the rancher...who had worked with cows all his
life....picked up an old can full of rocks and shook it...to try to keep the
bull moving....we were not much help!)
