The vet at the hospital says that if all continues to go well, Vilde may be able to return home Sunday or Monday. We certainly hope so! We would feel even better if we knew for sure what was wrong. At least we keep being assured that there is no reason to be concerned about any of the other horses on the place. Since Sadie is carrying Flotren's foal, and the Pugh's mare, Karimill, is pregnant with Erlend's, that's a big relief. Pat Wolfe, congratulations on yet another big win for you and Sonny. I hear he moves like a dream and I am eager to see him. I want to make a plug for the "Team USA", though. I don't have all the info from the 2003 Evals yet, but, as of now, I believe that the US-bred mare and stallion ranked highest in North America in Conformation and Movement are Erlend and Sadie. Since they both came from Old Hickory Farm, we have more proof of the outstanding contributions Julie Will and her husband, Darryl Wolford, have made to the Fjord breed in North America. They also imported the excellent stallions Flotren and Prisco, as well as many fine mares and fillies. Prisco [aka Dutch] is doing very well in dressage with his owner, Lori Albrough. And Mr. Flotren is simply fantastic! I can't wait to see the foal [we are due for a grey filly this time] that he and Sadie produce. In my next post, I hope to be able to name and thank all of you who have been so caring and supportive during Vilde's illness. I am overwhelmed!
