Have to tell everyone about O.H. Silas' year end results. We did the
Creekview Open Show Circuit, which consisted of 5 shows. Unforuantely I
could not make the last show as my knee blew out on me again. :-( I almost
went and was gonna jump with my brace, but seeing how it was the size of a
soccer ball I thought it best not to! Wow, maybe I'm getting wise in my old
age. Anyways, we lost one Grand but ended up with Grand in trotting over
fences, and Reserve in Low Hunter, Open Hunter and Open Hunter Hack. We had
Grand in the Low Hunter but needed to be there that last show I guess! (I
did go to the doctor, they said I stretched my repair, I had ACL surgery in
2001-so now back for physical therapy! fun fun) I can ride though, suppose
to wear my brace. It's a big metal one, HATE IT, but the horses don't seem
to mind.

Silas is happy to be a trail pony again. He hasn't been getting worked so
hard. But he will soon, we just put in a new outdoor ring. It's a nice
big one 125 x 175. Lots of room for all my jumps, lots of room to drive in.
We still have our old outdoor ring, which I like but it's much smaller 70 x
140 and well when you drive or jump doesn't the arena get small in a hurry.
I also don't have to take my jumps down all the time, they can now he kept
up all year, except winter of course. Life is good!!

Ole is back to normal. My pocketbook isn't, ouch those vet bills are
expensive when it's an emergency. I feel for Beth and Peg and all the
others out there who have some good size bills from the vets. Worth every
penny though if you have a great vet!

Congrats to all the other Fjord showers out there. Keep up the great work
and get those horses out next year! They are FUN to show!
