Hi Carol. I just built a barn last year and I put the flip down doors on my
stalls and love them. They allow you to slide the door open or closed without
having to mess with the dutch door. And then you have the option of closing
the top on horses who abuse the half door option. I also recommend a high
(8') solid stall divider between stalls. Some horses are extremely
territorial and/or agressive. And mares may become that way when in foal
while not otherwise. And if you have strange visitors or boarders it gives
you options and assures safety. Also the height assures that no one gets to
even try to scale it or even touch noses. It give you options if things change
in your barn. Good luck. Anne Appleby
