A note to all California/Nevada Fjord owners... I am hosting a driving
clinic, for the 3rd year, with Frank Hannesschlager, May 8-10.Alllevels
are encouraged to attend. We have a few spare stalls and as this is a
"casino" town, cheap rooms & food. There is excellent riding & driving on
+ off the ranch. This clinic is open to all breeds, but I thought I'd
put a special invite out to you all. Please email me privatly for more
info. BTW, compared to the norm, this clinic is very reasonable, you will
not need to rob mini-marts en route
in order to pay for this, really!

And...on Memorial Day wknd. a couple of us decided to put together a
Fjord entry in the Bishop,(CA),Mule Days Parade. I spectated last year,
and it was a BLAST! And, I do not usually "do" parades, as a rule.Kinda
embaressing w/ a horse that yawns every other stride!
But, the entries are ALL horsepowered, predominantly mules & more
mules, but also everything from minis to drafts. Its a long parade.
It took about 1 1/2 hrs to watch, and afterwards we swore we'd do it.
So, anyone game? There are only 2 requirements to be a part of the
entry: you must arrive on Friday,May 28 by 5pm,so we can get organised
and potluck, and, you must be sure that you and your horse(s) are up to
a full on parade. Costs: the entry is covered, but there may be a small
chg. for camping.I Am neg. w/ BLM friends down there for use of corrals.
This will be fun! If you just want to come & hang out w/out a horse, hey,
your'e invited! Please contact me before May 1 if you want to bring a
horse or two...
