I have two photos of fjords harnessed up in Norway which I've scrutinized heavily in searching for details on these carts. One is of a dozen or so carts being loaded up with tourists to take a trip to see a glacier in Norway. None of the fjords are wearing blinders. The other is of a single cart of the six passenger type - two benches facing each other lengthwise of the cart with a step up in the rear. The fjord harnessed to this one is wearing blinders. But they are all wearing collars. I'm getting great tips from lots of you regarding my stupid questions and no chiding yet about how stupid they are so here's another: My 15 mo gelding has decided he doesn't want/like his feet picked. He puts all of his weight on whatever foot I'm working on - or - leans so heavily that I'm certain he is off balance and at risk of falling ... on me, likely. I fasten him with cross ties. The baby girl gave the farrier hell when he trimmed her feet but after developing a little more of a routine, she's just as cooperative now with me as if it were all her idea. The yearling, on the other hand, was the little gentleman with the farrier. So I have a feeling, once again, that he is misbehaving intentionally knowing I don't have a clue how to get him to do it my way. Any suggestions on how to handle this?
