Thought someone out there would know why Luisa (who is about 4 months pregnant) is losing large patches of fur on the back of her upper leg, and belly. With nice smooth black skin remaining. She is losing her summer coat all of a sudden, with some winter coat already grown, but the balding patches look like they are going to be bare. One area looks like it will be 4 inches round. Skin looks perfectly healthy. My best guess is hormone imbalance - same sort of thing happened to a girl friend once. She (and Luisa) could pull out large patches of hair all at once, leaving completely bald patches. Hers grew back later. Any ideas. Gail
