Lisa, The history of the Rimfakse war is well explained on The Fjordhorse page at http://home.sol.no/~snygaard/history.html I agree with everything being said against crossbreeding, but I can assure you that NOT all Fjord horse associations encourage their members NOT to outcross, but actively encourage them to do so. Offspring from such matings are then registered as part-breds. The FHRS, being affiliated to the NFHR, obviously discourages members from doing so. With good wishes, David
