Hi Catherine,

Sad and good news about Markmann.  Looking forward to having to contain a
young horse for two months doesn't sound like fun for anyone, him or you.
But maybe he'll be OK.  

Should we be sending him stall toys?  Somehow, I feel like we are grandmas
to sick young horsies and should be sending just the right thing to make him
happy during his bedrest.   You don't happen to own a Buster Cube?  Possibly
something he could play with filled with peanut butter or.....  If you have
someone with the right bent (and time, of course) he could be clicker
trained to fetch things - and keep his mind occupied that way.  A piece of
metal that acts as a mirror might interest him if somehow one turns up for
you.  

Well - my suggestions are pretty feeble.  I'm just so sorry this happened.
