I've got one better than hot potatoes to keep ones hands warm. When I was taking my daughter to her riding lessons and had to watch in a very cold areana, I carried a live baby bunny in my pocket. I raised rabbits for eating (Yum Yum) and when the babies just leave the next box, they love to hide and will stay in your pocket. They made great hand warmers.
