Hi Pamela, Yes we do have palm trees in this area ,not many but the odd one here and there , I planted one in my garden about four years ago, wasn't sure if it would survive because where I live it's very open flat country with not a lot of protection from the weather,but it's thriving and about 8ft high at the moment.
